  Another economical way to do it is to go to a garden center and get coated welded wire. Cut the size u need and then cover the metal ends with a dab of silicone... and waaaaaaaa laaaaaaaaaaaaa!

Mike Hep's Discus has nice spawn cone with mesh!

I dont use that in my hatchery.. I use spilted PVC pipe  for Discus's spawn and no problems so far!

If Discus eat eggs. I let them to learn and pratical to get better matured will have babies. Just be patience!!

Go to any hardware store and get the gutter mesh it works great. Fit's right over the cone.

Yep it works great and couldn't be much more cost effective!

I also will use my extra heater suction cups to secure them on; altho u may have other creative ideas as well.

Anyone know where I can buy some wire mesh covers for my spawning cones or even spawning cone/mesh cover combo?? My red marlboros have spawned 6 times for me so far and they eat the eggs every time....
