Shawn on AB had a nice group of ten Hystrix last month; they were dandy at 100.00..I paid 200.00 for my largest female, and 175.00 from his prior batch..I checked tho', and he's not listing them now..musta sold locally in Minneapolis...mine have become invaluable clean up amigo's when culling fry... Thanks for the toughts Gary! I have raised and bred motoros for a while so I am pretty good with the upkeep, feeding etc. The info on the market is much apreciated! My toughts right now would be to offer some on a pre-order basis only so the people that want them but have been turned off by the crazy pricing of some may have a chance to add some to their colections.

At this point I am not sure if it's worth doing but I may post a list with prices just to see what interest it brings.

I totally agree; I really enjoy the ones I have; just wasn't quite ready to devote an entire tank to them...

A few differences in 'rays as one who has imported a box or two of fish; first, customer's are seldom looking for multiple sales, other than some who wish pairs, so they move slower from that angle..Then, they are a definite fetish type fish, so fewer buyers..while in qt, and getting them on other foods, they go thru tons of live blackworms until they adapt.Illegal in the majority of states, methinks...they take up huge square feet of holding tankage, eating up floor space..Snakeskin's entire basement, other than some shelves, are taken up by 'rays in a holding pattern....just a few thoughts....

I am afraid of stingrays. When I get one fishing, I cut the line.  Look what happened to the Crocodile Hunter.

Just asking my old friends here, any interest?

Henli, schroderi, hystrix, motoro, or the reticulata (teacup)
