Thanks for your stories I was just trying to figure out why everyone gets excited about these fish since I see nothing special about them. I was hoping they all grew into Giants then I would see about getting some but this time I see someone else is importing them. Seems like anyone who wants to start importing wants to give the same breeder a chance at getting in some nice fish.

Yep I was hoping that when Dan grew that pair out he might hae messed something up and slowed down their growth but I think their size was genetic.

The pair I worked with had really nice shape and pattern but weren't very big.

Jim gave me a set of RT's out of some Alex P parents and none of them ever grew past 4 1/5 inches. I culled everyone of them. I think he is like lots of others....he has some good fish but most are just average. People are just excited over the ones that do look nice.

I know the parents. I have been to the person that has the parents several times and her biggest fish that she had before compared to this ones are midgets. I will take some pictures for you to see.

I have 8 cobalt that the parents are Piwo Cobalts growing out and they way they are growing are unreal. The parents easily are about 8 inches big and round my other fish would look like little babies next to them.

Can someone please tell me why everyone get's excited over these Discus ? I haven't seen anyone post any photos that they grew out and look like what is in his gallery so I just don't get it. Is it because they are German and not from Han's
